Expert Network 2010-03-12 - Change recommended
Board 2010-04-09 - Recommendation accepted
BACKGROUND
Patients with acute myocardial infarct not invasively treated are usually grouped to conservative AMI-DRG’s 121,122,123.
If cardiac catheterization is performed (but not PCI), the grouping result is DRG 125 Diagnostisk percutan cardiac procedure.
The patient still has AMI, and we suggest that this condition, and not the angiography should decide the grouping result.
Proposal
The grouping is changed so that all patients with AMI, but without PCI, are grouped to DRG 121,122 or 123.
COMMENTS
Expert Network 2010-03-12
The meeting recommended that cases with diagnoses I48.9 should be grouped to DRG 124.
To I21-groups should dg.prop 05X03 be added.
CHANGES
Technical change
All codes in the group I21 ’Acute transmural myocardial infarction’ are given property 05X03 ‘Other circulatory system complex diagnosis’.
DRG change
Cases with I21 diagnosis and perctunaneous cardiac procedure are always assigned to the complex DRG - DRG 124 ‘Diagnostic percutan cardiac procedure w circulatory complex dx’.
