Board 2010-04-09 - Recommendation accepted
O94 has been used for women in all ages, where the problems are caused by complications after childbirth (even long time after pregnancy). One example is treatment of anal insufficiency.
We wish to discuss the correct coding for treatment of obstretrical complications in late age by using anal insufficiency as a case. Is it correct to use O94?

The meeting recommended accepting the proposal to move O94 to MDC 23 and changing the drg.cat to 23M99.
The diagnosis category of dx O94 is changed from MDC 14 to 23M99.
Dx O94 is accepted in non-pregnant patients.
