Board 2009-03-20 - Recommendation accepted

BACKGROUND

CPK ID 288

Problem

Sometimes (probably only in batch grouping) grown-up patients can be grouped to neonate DRGs (DRG 385 – 390) with rtc 0 (Grouping completed technically) if the age is missing.

Comments and suggestion by CPK

No need for economical analysis because the matter is of principal nature.

There should be a validation rule that gives DRG 470 if the age is missing. The return code should be a new one with the text “Age of the patient is missing”.
