- NBSN90 Use of transplant in shoulder or upper arm
- NFSN90 Use transplant in surgery of hip or thigh
In SWE these codes have subcodes (3 and 2) for different types of transplant. That does not affect the grouping. But in SWE these interventions have been given the property 08S12 ‘Soft tissue procedure’ wheras in the other versions NBSN90 has 08S50 ‘Shoulder or humerus procedure’ and NFSN90 ‘Pelvic, hip or femur procedure, except major joint’.
It is a matter of taste which to choose. The codes should as a matter of fact not be used alone, they are typical additional codes for the technique. My proposal is currently to adjust SWE to the others.
- NBSN90 (and all linked national codes) are given property 08S50 and property 08S12 is removed
- NFSN90 (and all linked national codes) are given property 08S71 and property 08S12 is removed

In SWE version the Cases with NBSN90 (NBN39, NBN49, NBN99) will be assinged to DRG 218-220 (H26x) ‘Lower extrem & humer proc except hip, foot, femur’.
In SWE version the cases with NFSN90 (NFN39, NFN49) will be assigned to DRG 210-212 (H36x) ‘Pelvic, hip and femur procedures except major joint’.
Most of the cases have been assigned to the same DRG’s already because of the other rules of the same DRG’s
