Description

There is an obvious error in Finnish grouping logic which has created weird grouping to DRG 477 in case the maindx is C22 (Malignant neoplasm of liver and intrahepatic bile ducts) and its subcodes, and respective procedure is embolisation of the tumor of liver. This error has to be fixed.
The problem concerns NCSP code PC2DT (Embolisation of tumor of liver). The code is missing the property referring to MDC07 (Diseases and disorders of the hepatobiliary system and pancreas).
To solve the issue we suggest to give to code PC2DT the property 07S07 (Other hepatobiliary or pancreas procedure).

PC2DT is not an NCSP code, it is a Finnish radiological intervention code. The corresponding NCSP+ code is PCXT2D 'Embolisation of lesion of liver'. Linked codes exist in Finland, Iceland and Latvia. Finland has a second code linked to PCXT2D - PC2ET Extensive embolisation of lesion of liver'. The proposal applies to all these codes.

This problem got fixed in Finnish 2016 version already and the case should be closed and not be active anymore.
P.s. Also the radiological intervention codes should be the NCSP code according to our understanding. At least they appear in definition tables and also in NCSP+.
It is probably the matter of definition of NCSP code. Is it only surgical intervention or could it be radiological intervention or any other non-invasive (surgical) intervention.
