Description

DGPROP 24X90 (with the text “Multiple injury”) and 24X99 (with the text “Multiple significant trauma” in the table DG but with the text “Multiple injury” in the table DG PROP) have the same meaning and the diagnosis codes with 24X90 are the same as those with 24X99 in the Swedish SOS version. In the combined version (NordDRG 2019 COM v 2.2.xlsx), the code S381A ‘Crushing injury of lower back’ has 24X90 but not 24X99 which obviously is a mistake (we didn’t notice the code S381A when we some years ago introduced 24X99 because the code is not present in the Swedish ICD). See Appendix C824.xlsx. There are no procedure codes with 24X90 or 24X99.
With these facts it is obvious that there is no need to have both 24X90 and 24X99 in the system. In the combined version (NordDRG 2019 COM v 2.2.xlsx) there are 27 rules with 24X90 but only five with 24X99 so the easiest way to “clean” the system is to replace 24X99 with 24X90 in these five rules. Then all rows with 24X99 in the table DG can be deleted. In the table DG PROP is 24X99 already marked with F (false) but it should be deleted from the Swedish SOS version.
This is just a “cleaning” of the system. There will be no DRG changes.
Technical changes for both the combined version and the Swedish SOS version are in TC_C824.xlsx.
